- CHILDREN’S CHEER & TOY SHOP– Prepare for Christmas Distribution for 2022. Bag new toys for specific age groups. Clean facility (bathroom, kitchen, floors), trim bushes, clean signs, fix bikes/outside toys, and remove old drop box all in preparation for distribution. Unload, unpack, and shelve new toys. 5 volunteer slots available.
- AMERICAN RED CROSS – September is National Preparedness Month and what the project is to collect items then put together comfort kits that are given to disaster clients in the community. Along with this activity, there will be a Preparedness Program by Darius Jackson, the disaster program manager. 8 volunteer slots available.
- HERO HOUSE – Power washing the house /painting the eves of the house / cleaning both Hero House and June Cottage. 6 volunteer slots available.
- MOULTRIE YMCA– Cleaning up the area around the zip line and alpine towers on the adventure course. Volunteers will trim limbs, pick up pine cones, rake pine straw and weed eat the area. 3 volunteer slots available.
- M/CC HUMANE SOCIETY – Misc. painting in office/lobby, Misc. painting in dog kennels, Dog Walking/Interaction (potential kennel cleaning depending upon start time), Cat/Kitten interaction in cat room, possible landscaping work on elevated beds in parking lot. FULL.
- SOUTHWEST GA COMMUNITY ACTION COUNCIL – help with a “Paint Party” for our Senior Meals participants at our congregate meal site. Paint wooden door hanger with one on one attention with a senior citizen. FULL
- BOYS & GIRLS CLUB – paint the interior of the building, specifically: The Cafeteria, The Kitchen, The Auburn Room and the LSU Room. We would also like volunteers to fill holes on our grounds outside, to build a covering where kids get off the bus in case of rain/inclement weather; Removal of tree libs from basketball court; Paint lines on the basketball court for basketball play/scrimmages; Erect picnic tables/benches (2 sets) for outdoor. 5 volunteer slots available.
- COLQUITT CO. FOOD BANK – Clean Inside – Front Rooms – Vacuuming Mopping Dusting Wiping Shelves Clean Kitchen are including Fridge, Clean front restroom, all windows , clean workroom freezer. Warehouse – sweep mop wipe shelves wipe down freezers and coolers inside and out clean warehouse sink and restroom. Clean Outside – mow grass string trim refresh straw in beds pressure wash exterior and driveway. 6 volunteer slots available.
- GREEN OAKS CENTER– Participants with apply a water sealer to two concrete block walls using brushes and rollers. Explanation: Green Oaks has a loading dock that needs to be sealed to prevent rain from compromising the structural integrity. There are places in the concrete block walls that water has caused damage. Those places will be repaired prior to Day of Action. Volunteers for Day of Action will paint the concrete walls of the dock with a water sealant. 5 volunteer slots available.
